A global movement concentrating on the need to reduce single-use plastics uses July to focus on its work.
Starting in 2011, Plastic Free July has grown to provide an effective collection of waste as well as inspiration for behaviour change. Over the last 5 years, campaign participants have avoided a colossal 1.4 billion kgs of plastic. The cause has also helped people make changes that have gone on to become habits, setting a benchmark for best practices.
Here at Dotmaison, we applaud the initiatives of Plastic Free July to reduce single-use plastics at home, work, schools and shops.
Thankfully industry leaders are coming up with more and more ways to avoid single-use plastics in all sorts of areas. The following items showcase just how stylish and well-made these solutions can be.
The above W&P Porter Mug is a brilliant way to take coffee and hot drinks around with you. Crafted from strengthened ceramic, it is wrapped in insulated matte silicone to keep heat in while also protecting the grip. There is also a BPA-free plastic lid.
Gorgeously finished in a pink blush colour, the high-quality mug is ideal as a travel receptacle. Perfect for reducing the need for throwaway coffee cups, the mug is a lovely travel companion for trips anywhere.
