How about this for the latest in green furniture? This modular and sustainable, stacking and shelving system was designed by minimalist designer Danny Giles. Made from recycled cardboard, each module is made out of five interlocking pieces to create an individual storage module. Stable enough to be used for standalone storage shelves, the modules can also be stacked together to create modular storage arranged in whatever arrangement you wish.
Raiding recycling bins for usable scraps of cardboard, Giles has designed an incredibly simple concept that is cheap, light and portable. Why pay more Dotmaison readers when you have the option of buying this creative shelving solution? Interlocking tabs and grooves ensure that the stacking system remains strong even after it has been loaded with books and DVD’s. It may not be waterproof, but it’s certainly sustainable. Top marks for Danny Giles!
