How to Work from Home in Style

How to Work from Home in Style

A greater flexibility and adaptability have had to be part of everyone’s lives for some time now. This has risen to all sorts of positives, with one of the most obvious being the possibility to work remotely in certain circumstances.

This has made working from home a distinct possibility for some or most of the time. This new reality has also led to new demands on our home environments to allow for working time.

Thankfully, some of our favourite designers here at Dotmaison have a range of ideas to make working from home organised, stylish and comfortable.

Here are some tips on how to work from home practically and stylishly.

A big element of working from anywhere is organising your time sensibly and practically. In some ways this is even more important when working from home, as there may be potentially more distractions to take into account.

For that reason, it is a good idea to have a visual stimulus of organisation and time keeping close to the desk and work station.

The above Design Letters Planner is an excellent way to keep up to date with all upcoming events and activities. It provides a clear view of schedules and timing thanks to the monochrome printing on high quality paper.

Strongly backed by carbon material and featuring spiral binding, the planner can be positioned on desk or hung from the wall.

The planner also features the opportunity to place special stickers on important dates. In this way, you will be far better placed to remember meetings, catch-ups and deadlines!

Another great opportunity for careful work planning is offered by the Designworks Ink Weekly Planner, Black Cloth.

Perfect for the home office, the pad of 60 acid-free paper pages consists of spaces from Monday to Sunday for important reminders and tasks.

The metal post bound pad is printed using eco-friendly soy inks, so it is as good for the environment as it is for your work. Also including a calendar, the desk pad is another excellent way to plan ahead.

Another tried and tested method for excellent organization practices is the handy notebook. By writing down key dates and summaries by hand onto paper, the information can become more readily fixed in mind.

The above Pantone Notebook Large provides an ideal resource for notation and detailing information. The stylish cover colours and perfectly bound collection of pages are ideal for bringing an important and good-looking item into your daily working life.
