A new 6 week residency exploring Italian style opens up in London today. The themed exhibition entitled For the Love of Italyhas been set up by the House of Peroni and provides guests with a full program of events and ‘taste experiences’.
Curated by three well known influential Italians including Margherita Maccapani Missoni, a fashion designer and family member of one of Dotmaison’s favourite brands Missoni, the festival looks set to bring a wealth of ideas and creativity to visitors.
The interesting thing – apart from the many sights and tastes to have a go at taking part in – is the sense of immersion that is prevalent at the heart of Italian culture. A willingness to try out the best in food, drink and fashion is top of the list and thankfully, with the ability to discover new trends alongside classic creation at our fingertips, we can all discover fresh inspiration in our own lives.
Missoni Home brings out many of these ideas with a dedication to practical quality and unique style. The famous zig zag style of the design house is apparent in many of their luxury quality products. A simple addition of one of the company’s beautiful cushion for example will offer an interior a simple yet classy embellishment designed to intrigue and excite.
How about the iconic products from Alessi? The characteristic Anna G bottle opener is one of the best known products of their famous range, and will come in handy for opening up another bottle of prosecco when desired! It is the quest for many of the best designer to incorporate excellent design and imagination in the everyday. In the case of Alessi, this is only too clear!
Another Italian brand guaranteed to bring about an element of sophisticated sensory is Millefiori Milano. The various transfixing scents and aromas from the label create a wonderfully inviting experience to homes and interiors. Putting forth a combination of various sensory delights is key to a carefully designed home. Some of the ideas put forward during the House of Peroni exhibition can be tried out in your home. With a little research and some pragmatic investigation, all the delights of an Italian summer await!
