We all know the absolute pleasure of a few hours in a spa. The relaxation, the pampering and the feeling that all life’s stress is off our shoulders for a short while at least. But with the economy being what it is, not all of us are able to indulge ourselves in this way any more.
But help is at hand if you are willing to invest a little time and even less money to achieve great results.
Any bathroom can become a spa in a matter of an hour or less. Simply turn off the lights and add plenty of candles, aromatic ones are the best. Run a deep bath and put in some bath salts or bubble bath. Buy the best you can afford to really pamper yourself.
Before you get in the bath, apply a face mask made from mashed avocado and place a couple of slices of cucumber over the eyes. Used herbal teabags are also excellent for turning those not enough sleep eyes into wide awake ones.
Once in the bath, a stiff body brush is great for removing all those dead skin cells and leaving the skin super soft. Then simply relax while the bath cools. Have some music in the background and drift off to where ever your thoughts take you.
Once out wash your face, moisturise, rub in some body lotion, slip on a luxury robe and you are all done. The best thing now would be to climb into a soft and welcoming bed for a little nap, not something you could do while at a spa. So the advantages of being at home are more than just the cost.
