If you happen to be a pet lover, it’s often our furry friends that really make a place feel like home. Even if you don’t own a pet or you live in a place that doesn’t have the room to accommodate them, you can still enjoy a bit of their energy and vitality around the house. How, you may ask? Well, like so many other things, through beautiful ideas and great design.
Here are a few of the delightful products featuring both canines and felines that currently find their perfect home here at Dotmaison. Anyone with an inclination towards the cuteness of animals will most likely be drawn to these designs. While they vary in tone and form, the products all feature four legged family members!
The above mug from Orla Kiely is an ideal starting point for a look at some sparkling takes on the pet world in home-ware. It doesn’t get much more essential to those who rely on tea and coffee than a hot drinking mug. When you combine that all-important product with the design house’s iconic imagery and imaginative representation of a pup, you have a sure-fire success. The blue floral dog certainly makes a pretty picture!
A quite different canine features in this lovely cushion by Ted Baker. The French Bulldog staring endearingly up from the central space in this collectable cushion is the so-called cotton dog, closely associated with the brand. Sitting attentively on a pink background and wearing a cute bow tie, the plush velvet cushion is sweetness personified!
But the canines aren’t getting it all their way! The Silhouette Sitting Cat Mug from Repeat Repeat is great for providing a side order of humour along with the morning coffee. The stylishly represented form of a chic white cat looks up innocently enough. However, on closer inspection the inscription surrounding our friend reads “It wasn’t me… It was the dog.”
Maybe the dog in question was Hector? The playful chap certainly looks sprightly enough, with his wagging tail and salivating chops inspecting a bone in a bowl. The high quality porcelain espresso cup and saucer by Konitz is a cuter than cute treat for everyone looking for some trusty dog-world charm!
