Some designs are so beautifully simple you wonder why they have not been thought of before. The M3 Chair from Brazilian born Thomas Feichtner is one such design. Measuring one metre on each side and built in solid oak, the chair debuted earlier in the year at Vienna Design Week.
The M3 chair was created in the workshops of Austrian company Neue Wiener Werkstätte and is named M3 due to its cubed measurements. The simplicity of the design and the fact that it takes up space rather than saves space, or in the designer’s words “it is much rather… a chair…which creates a space. ”
