This wonderful installation from London based furniture and exhibition designers Not Tom was originally created for Woolmark for its Wool Modern exhibition in Pall Mall. Created in collaboration with artist Loui Thomas, the wool themed installation is a breathtaking journey into a woollen forest.
The outside edges of the room are lined with assorted paint tins filled with various coloured dyes. Stood in each jar, and set at random are large sticks and sections of tree branches completely wrapped in the natural wool top.
The installation, which includes 150 sticks and branches, gives off the appearance of a strangely coloured, enchanted forest – one to get lost and wonder in. The installation is touring the world next year and is currently on show at Galleria KaufHof , Berlin.
