Art comes in many different forms and everyone can create, regardless of skill or training. Often the sheer pleasure of artistic endeavour is its own reward. Creative types can have a lot of fun with these drawing vessels from Japanese designer Fumiaki Goto. Made from the same combination of materials that are used to make pencil leads, the bottom section can be used as a pencil nib.

Specially baked in order to keep the user’s hands clean, the vessels can be used as a intriguing drawing device. The white part of the object is normal ceramic, while the black part is a similar to pencil lead.

Made from mixing clay with graphite and then baking at a high temperature, the drawing vessel is an interesting and novel design for the artists and appreciators of great design amongst us!
