Celebrate the Creature Comforts of Animal Companions

Celebrate the Creature Comforts of Animal Companions

Keeping our furry friends healthy and in comfort is an essential at any time of year. The welcoming sight of a friendly face of a cat or dog is a lovely reassurance around the home. Being able to turn to the best accessories and products to keep our pets in home comfort is great for all members of a household; both two legged and four-legged!

But even those who are not pet-owners can tap into this experience by appreciating the style and artwork of designers utilising the animal form.

Having a connection between human affairs and the animal kingdom is a positive thing to keep in mind. Here at Dotmaison we love to see how well design labels are able to highlight this connection in style.

The Tigrito Cat Bowl by Alessi is a striking way to keep a pet cat well fed and watered. Taking a playful approach to the important business of food and drink, the design takes a happy looking cat holding forth stainless steel dishes to provide and sustain. With an unmistakable look and style, the strongly produced bowl is ideal for keeping pets happy in comfort at home.

A different shape and form to a valuable food bowl is offered by the Alessi Mio Cat Bowl. Designed by Miriam Mirri, the cat bowl provides a lovely way to offer food and treats to furry members of the home. A secure mix of thermoplastic resin and stainless steel ensures a secure method of holding food for the four-legged friends.

Non pet owners can also enjoy the shape and animated look of cats and dogs around the home. Artistic designers regularly make use of the instantly recognisable look of pet animals. The quirky production sense of Fatboy do just that in a number of ways.

The Candoll Can-dolly and Candoll Can-dog by Fatboy are both spectacular ornaments and lifestyle products for the home. Making a dramatic  impression in any room of the home, the candle-holders are both unusual and lovable ways to adorn a living space. Guaranteed to create much discussion and comment, the wonderful designs are further proof of the great ways that forward-thinking design is able to utilise fun animal shapes.

The canine look is also produced in glorious style by Umbra with the Zoola Frenchie Ring Holder. As well as perfect for carrying out the specific tasks of storing and looking after jewellery, the ring holder also offers a distinctly elegant look to anywhere in the home. Modelled on the form of a French Bulldog, the chrome finish of the piece is beautifully produced and brings an ornamental style the home.
