To stay at the top of the field in the demanding world of architectural design, it is integral to be open and receptive to new ideas and ways of thinking. Sticking close to this professional outlook, Oregon based firm PATH Architecture have come up with this wonderfully smart Portland apartment, which started life as a garage.
Known technically as an ‘Auxilidary Dwelling Unit’, the space is topped off by a beautifully finished apartment which makes the most of its available space. Custom made multi functional furniture adds to the economic use of space.
Known as Laurelhurst Studio, the motivation behind the project was to create a versatile space for a number of different uses. Guesthouse, artist’s space or even a yoga studio are jut some of the ideas that the creators had in mind. With a high attention to detail and solid workmanship, the Laurelhurst looks to be an ideal space for the resident with an active imagination!
