The agriculture and countryside of South East England has often inspired all kinds of creative exploits. In terms of architecture, the place is ideally suited for bright and imaginative ideas making the most of the often beautiful home counties spaces. This is certainly the case in Mole Architects design for this extension to a protected farmhouse located in the Sussex Downs.
The barrel vaulted roof brings to mind the agricultural buildings of the county and lends the space a pleasing perfectly formed air. The designers made use of natural materials alongside a coated steel roof.
The designers have certainly succeeded in creating a wonderfully laid back and relaxed space perfect for enjoying everything the English countryside has to offer!
